Superwinch opinions
looking at getting a winch. deciding between a Smittybuilt xrc8 comp or Superwinch 10000lb.
Found an excellent deal on the Superwinch but haven't heard too much stuff about them.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

Superwinch actually incorperated one month prior to the birth of Warn.
They offer excellent winches, fast line speeds, low amp draw when compared to lower end winches, hand controls are typically 2 feet longer than others, encased in rubber, not hard plastic. Hardly hear a word about soloniod failure, excellent repair dept. in Connecticut, if ever needed.......
I've owned 3 of their winches, currently run their Ep.9000, no problems to speak of after 6 years on various Jeeps.

I had a Superwinch EPi9k. I didn't have any issues with it working for a year. Line speed was ok.
It ended up snapping in half. Contacted Superwinch, sent it in. Got about 2 months of the run around of our engineer hasn't had a chance to look at it. 3 months go by, still lame excuse. I will just say after 6 months of me having to make all the contact I gave up and bought a china made winch.
IMO good winch long as you don't have to actually deal with Superwinch.
