I all ways wanted to drive my xj out west. I live in ma. And have friend in vages and calli. Want to ditch roads somewhere around New Mexico and just wheel it to vages. Anyone do something like that?

 

I think there is an actual trail that was made specifically for that. Iirc I read about it in a magazine.

 

I wouldnt do it alone or without upgrading your cooling system. The desert takes a much bigger toll on your Jeep than driving on the road or on the east coast in general. You also sure as hell dont want to break down out in the middle of the desert not being familiar with the area or desert conditions.
