Well yeah, for a little while. Thats fine. At some point something will give. most likley a shaft. You could put 40's on any axle. under hard enough use something will break. On a stock XJ drive train, 33's is the most I would run......being the fact that I drive too and from the trail.
ODgreen89on35s isn't having too much trouble...he's basically locked front and rear.
He's broken things, but you can brake the same things he broke on a stock setup if you really want to.

Yes you can. However it's really not recommended.
If you're going to be heavy on trails and anything that's going to put a lot of extraneous stress on the axles, a Dana 30 probably isn't what you want up front. The Chrysler 8.25 is a good axle, so I wouldn't worry about that one too much.
You also should (but don't have to) regear. You will lose a lot of your torque and power if you leave it at the stock gears. Note that upgrading the gears will reduce your top speed and therefore bottleneck you on certain highways.
Unless there is some reason that you need 35's, a Jeep doesn't need anything much larger than 33's.
