It had previously gotten packed with mud and quit working and the cable was shot. So he took it apart, cleaned it and got it working again. New cable wasn't ordered yet so it had nothing on it You know how it goes, seem to only get stuck or break when you have no recovery gear or tools. But there's a dozer in that field for a reason

that was a bronco. His engine shut off about half way through and he floated to the other side before he started her back up again and got out

This puddle had some pretty deep ruts(I was unaware of them as this was my first time hitting this puddle) The guy who pulled me out said hes seen lots of people fall victim to this "hole" including himself.

So we made a mud pit on Monday in my buddy's field where he has 300ft mud drags. There was a little one there before in the corner but nobody was really getting stuck so we decided to bring the excavator down and make it a little more challenging. We have some friends with 44s and tractor tires so I think they're going to have a good time. It starts off about 1ft deep varies then ends up about 6ft deep at the end. Then we pumped water in while filling it back in and made it look innocent. Then of course tested it out.

This is just the beginning.

Friend trying it in 350 powered CJ on 40s. Made it about 10ft

Then my buddy tried it in his 350 powered YJ on 38" boggers. Made it another foot. The jacket is because his window wouldn't roll up.

I think it's pretty cool to look at the photos and see the difference of the flotation of the wide 40s staying on top and the tall skinny boggers trying to find bottom. Clearly neither method worked haha. We have a friend with an 80s Chevy on rockwells and 44" boggers with a 450 horse 350 plus a 200 shot that might have a chance. I will follow up with photos after Sunday.
