I also found some AL wheels to replace the steel ones with. it is 4wd. after all, I still need it to get me to work in adverse weather conditions. I haven't bought any kits for it. the intake I made myself

Lifting a 4x2 will cause you to make drastic decisions. When I first got my heep it looked like that a stock 2wd and then a year and a half later it's this now lol. Street Cherokee-image-2598700268.jpg Street Cherokee-image-4006887126.jpg On a more serious note if you want to lift it your going to want to make it larger and larger (I could be wrong of course). Then your going to get into the pricier range of things, your going to need a larger drive line, degree shims, control arms, longer trac bar, etc. The most lift I put on my 2wd was 5" and 31's and then I still had drive line vibes and a leaking transmission output seal and horrible gas milage, also the thing drives like crap since short arms turn to crap once you go more than 3-4". Do you really want to deal with that on a dd 2wd? it's all up to you to decide what you want to do but just know what's ahead lol Here's my other 2wd xj on the 31's and 5" lift next to my rig on 33's and 6.5". Yes I own 2 2wd xj's lol. (2wd to the insurance company's knowledge) hehe

I get around 18/22 in the city in my 2wd and around 28/32 on the highway. Get around 400 to a tank. I put the 703 injectors but my dad didn't like them said it bogged down. Ill eventually do a full exhaust, injectors again, bored out throttle body and the intake, if i don't get rid of it. Don't want to but i don't need another vehicle, but ill never find one like this again.

I believe you are looking for a Mitsubishi Evo not a cherokee. You aren't going take a 4x2 off roader and turn it into a world rally champion vehicle without spending several thousands of dollars and investing hundreds of hours of work.

I say use the cherokee as a daily driver just to get you places and such to work. Save up then get yourself an old subie.

Nope 4.0 but its a 5speed so that the only reason why i get great gas mileage. Before i swap to the moab rims and some heavier tires i was getting 32 at the best, right now average about 25/20 but depends on who drives it me or my dad.

Lol 32 MPG on a 5-speed. Either you're using imperial gallons or your speedometer is significantly off.

Or they don't know how to accurately calculate mileage.
