Default Stock window tint?

My 89 two door has the rear side windows tinted, but not the rear hatch window.

My desire is to find a matching tint to apply to the hatch window. The tint that it came with has a golden hue when viewed under certain light.

So... does anybody have any idea where I might find some information like a name or part number to identify the type of tint I need to purchase?

Thanks!

Stock tint is not applied tint. The glass itself is tinted. At least my 98 2 door is that way I am under the impression that all Cherokees had tinted glass as opposed to applied tint.

You can go to a tint shop and see if they can match it up for you. Or you can find a donor XJ

Check your states tint laws before you start tinting.

I have 5% up front, and I think 20% over the factory tint and the front is a touch darker than the rear if you look closely. It actually looks fine b/c the windshield let's in so much light it evens it out

Super illegal, but I don't really agree with all laws, so I abstain with no malignant intent and hope everyone just leaves me be

More important is that you go with a good quality ceramic film. All of the newer films are good, and you don't need a super expensive film to be effective. I think 20% is a good compromise between comfort, privacy, and visibility. I am running Suntek CXP, but LLUMAR, 3M, and Solar Guard are all good brands.

Avoid those $99 tint specials because they fade after 5 years and have minimal IR blocking abilities

I just want it to match the side windows. I reckon I'll try to find someone within a hunnert miles to take a look at it. Yeah... I live in the sticks.

If you are ever involved in an accident and the other vehicle has "tinted" glass be sure to photograph & document everything.
