Default stock rear bumper strength??

so i had my high lift jack mounted to my stock rear bumper for a while now and iv towed 2 people by it and i got pulled out of some mud with it

and i just got home from pulling an exploder burried to the bumpers out with it

i ended up bending my jack into a W and the small bolts holding the mounts on tore out of my bumper but my bumper is still straight no bends and isnt loose at all

im wondering how strong this bumper truely is??

the bumper is strong it is the mounts...

it is only mounted in 4 spots and the bolts pull out of the bumper pretty easily...

is it the same stupid type bolts that hold the frotn bumper to the mounts??

if i strengthen the bolts and add some extra bolts in the mounts would i be able to turn my factory bumper into a bumper that i can have tow points on?

just wondering why would you tow or pull out by the jack you had on it instead of bumper or your axle in the first place???

last time i used the actual bumper it ripped off and that was the front so i didnt know if the back would do the same and i figured the jack mounts would pull out without destroying my bumper and thats what happened

i am building tow points and bumpers but i was just wondering how long it could last if i use it hard

I would suggest staying away from the axle as well. Any frame piece woudl be a better choice than an axle.

I highly suggest not pulling from the axle I watched a bronco axle ripped off the leaf springs
