maybe this will help you with your choices. search youtube for stock xj. you wont believe what they will do bone stock. the line you take and driving skill and wheeling experience will play a major role.

i looked at your pics, good lookin xj. speaking from experience, the only down fall i have run into is MUD. unless you have some super aggresive tires and lots of ground clearence you will sink. the only thing done to mine is three inches of lift and a decent set of tires. they will go over nearly anything they can get a hold of. maybe its just me but they sink like a brick in mud.

As of now there isnt too much mud around me, but from what im hearing and what my woods/trails are like i should be just fine. Except i want to put blocks under because my tires rub. Will adding blocks fix this problem?

I have wheeled my pretty good for stock height with 2wd, no problems with mud yet, only clearence. Thatll change when i lift 5 inches and put a locker in with 33's
