Default stock front skid

I have a stock front skid plate. Is it worth to keep it on or should I just take it off?

I looked for one for about a year before i finally got mine. It has taken some serious hits. It has saved my tie rod, track bar, drag link, and all behind it many a times. Helps when goin into a deep rut. I vote keep it

Seems like a pain to work around, I dont really see the need for it once your lifted. Just dont drive into things that will mess up the front end

I would have to say that if you plan on keeping your jeep at stock height then keep it on, I plan on keeping mine on after I lift it but depending on how easy it is to take off I might ditch it after a while

I would especially with the crappy stock skid. you said stuff happens, why have to remove the skid and then replace or bend back your tierod because it was bent on the trail.

I haven't had one on mine since the lift. It is completely and utterly useless and has a habit of catching on rocks in reverse.

I guess it does have its positive along with its negatives. I guess since I don't know if I'm going to lift it I guess its better to leave it on. But it is a pain to work around.

How do you take it off? If it's easy to take off then just unbolt it when you need to

Seeing as ive already trashed a tie rod tube on mine and have some money into my steering i just got one the other day and its actually a pretty stout piece. The bends that are in it actually give it its strength and if i hit something with it and it hits my steering then that means i was going way to fast and hit something very large
