So there are a few things I have ran into that cause "static"
1.) Alternator whine- not the case if it happens on/off.
2.) Bad ground (s)-Makes a HUGE difference in sound quality
3.) Poor quality/blown speakers Or deck.
4.) high power source causing interference.
Speakers wont usually work at all if you wired them up incorrectly...
Have you tried a cd? Radio is inherently static filled/cable could be damaged and AUX cords get damaged all the time. Could be coincidence lol. Weird that one station doesn't do it.
What speakers/deck are you using? What ground did you clean?

I don't have a CD player on this deck. I use the aux cable for other things so I know it works. It's a pioneer deck and some cheap Soche speakers but even with those speakers it shouldn't be that bad.
I couldn't find where the radio ground wire was going so I just popped the hood and cleaned witch ever ground I could find. One on the side of the engine block near the oil stick. One on the driver side engine bay wall. The main ground in on battery and one on top of the ac pump.
