Default Stank

So before I bought my Jeep it was my brother in laws. It was basically just sitting there for the past 4 years, and he only drove it once every few months. Now it has an old car smell that I just can't get rid of. I've cleaned the interior completely along with spraying fabreeze. Does anyone have any special remedies to get rid of the stank? Thanks for the help.

Run that through the intake and a/c system to clean the air system. For the interior just take it to a professional car wash and spend a few bucks having it cleaned.

If you don't care if it sits for a few days you can dump baking soda all over the carpet and seats and let it sit for a few days then vacuum it up.

-shampoo the carpets

-shampoo the seats

-arming hammer baking soda, sprinkle it on the carpets let sit a day or so to absorb the smell then vacuum

-bounce dryer sheet under the seats

-my secret ingredient .25 cent pack of juicy fruit gum in the arm rest, open the pack DONT open the sticks

Ok, I'll have to try that. I like the video, that was one of the funniest episodes!

An open bag of Kingsford sitting in the Jeep a few days will help absorb some stank. Don't use the Matchlite, just the old school red, white, and blue bag.

Another good trick is fresh coffee grounds (as in unused), sprinkle them on the carpet and let them sit for a day then vacuum them up.

I could have sworn the title of this thread said "Skank."

I really need to put my contacts back in.

Lol that takes a entirely different method to get rid of, but the stank may be the same.
