Ok, so there was a pretty good sized scratch on my passenger door when I bought my cherokee. I was taping everything off to paint my trim black and bought some spray on clear coat to fix a corner under my window that was peeling off. Well my buddy was doing it and said well we'll just spray this scratch on the door as well, and I said go for it. Well you could definitely tell the difference between the unsprayed and the sprayed part of the door. So i taped off the middle of the door and sprayed the whole thing and now it looks really dull and looks like overspray. Is there anyway to remove this? I haven't waxed it yet, but would a clay bar help?

^This unless you wanna go all the way and sand the clear off and do the whole thing.

FWIW I painted my entire truck a few months ago with rattle cans. Cost me less than $30 in paint, but I didn't use clear.

you have to be careful using acetone on a fresh paint. most times you end up with more mess than you started with
