Talking sorry for my rookie question

Sorry for the rookie question guys ..but its better to learn from the experienced members than to guess.
Anyways ..I know everyone has their own style for their Jeeps ..some have the rock crawler look. Others just lifted stock looking ..and some real hardcore "beat me up on the trail I don't give a **** Jeep look" lol but to each their own .. Ii am going for the camel trophy style look ..still learning about it..and the more and more I research on it.. I come across the word "OVERLAND"...what is it? Is it a brand? A style?

Once again sorry for the noob question

overland was a trim package offered on the jeep grand cherokee's . Think fancy seats with fake wood trim.

Overlanding is basically using your vehicle for extended offroad excursions. Think austrailian outback looking vehicle. I'm also going after this look.

"****** Overland" was the original company name throughout the late 1930s into the 40's. The "Overland" trim package appeared on WJ's and WK's. It's equal to the "Up Country" package that was offered on early model XJ's.

Overlanding, however, as described. Also called Expos, or Expedition vehicles.
