Deep Snow Tires?
What is a good tire for deep snow? I was wanting a radial 35s or 36s. Any ideas on width.

What do you guys consider skinny. I'm thinking somethin around 35x10.5 with a 10" wide rim or a 35x12.5 with an 8" rim.

My buddy runs 33x12.5 on stock ranger wheels. I'm not asking about on road tires. I'm asking about deep snow 2' plus.

If your talking about trail rides in snow 2' plus you want to go wide! 35x13.50r 15 or 16 inch rims 8.5 or 10 inch rims, sipped in the center for ice and packed snow. I usually air down to 10 pounds and drive them at 55-60 for 10-15 miles to break in the side walls so they will flex good. In anything deeper than a couple of feet I air down to around 6 pounds. Toyo MTs or Cooper STTs are good so are Mickey Thompson MTZs. I like using Aluminum rims they seem to hold the bead better than steel.

If it's for street driving then skinny stock tires, trail ridding then wide.I live in N.E. Ohio ,so we know about deep snow driving.I have a 2007 Patriot that gets around alot better than my 96 XJ with brand new swampers does.Big tires are not good for city driving in snow.
