I want snow to come so bad!!! I'm getting tired of no mud or water or snow :/ I've never even got to experience snow in my xj yet!! anyone have pictures or stories from the snow?
haha I hope my grooving iron comes before the snow. It should as long as it doesn't snow tonight or tomorrow lol.
And I agree, can't wait for the snow since the only trail in this ranger district open year round is boring, 2 feet of snow will make it fun

I went out this past January in the middle of a huge snow storm in northern Michigan. About two feet on the ground. It was awesome, though I used a tremendous amount of gas. 33x12.5s have to push a lot of snow out of the way lol. It was pretty awesome being that my tracks were the only ones out there aside from snowmobiles. I'm gonna have to go out again when I get back this January lol.

If it is yourfirst time, don't get cockey! 4wd is only good for acceleration. Braking still sucks buttz, and ABS doesn't help if all wheels lock up....which is common in snow.

Yeah I agree don't get to crazy, just pretend you still only have 2WD drive at first.
My favorite part about snow and ice is going to abandoned parking lots an doing donuts, for some reason I always have a blast every time. I just wished they would stop plowing roads, I always have better steering and braking when it isn't plowed.

Man reading all this makes me even more anxious for winter!!! so this is probably gonna sound really dumb.... But are there any 'special' driving techniques for snow? deep or shallow? Like how in mud the tires are designed to clean themselves with more wheel spin, so you wanna keep.the.wheels goin as best you can. Are you supposed to keep them goin in snow? Or are you supposed to keep them just crawling? I've seen videos to where people just kinda keep rockin the rig back n forth and just keep pushing the snow in front of them to make their way. Is that what's good in snow? Oh and also, my grandfather always used to tell me when I was little if I did get stuck, keep the wheels straight until I get moving again other wise they Will just act like cookie cutters and I'll stick myself more. Can anybody help me? geez I feel like I've never driven before by asking this :/

Last october... man that storm sucked. It just proved that no trees in CO are made to hold heavy wet snow, I was clearing branches from my yard for a month. And not ready yet lol gotta groove tires then sipe the hell out of them. I'm going to make the first Three Stage Lug snow tire lol just to make my dad eat his words "mud tires suck in snow"
