im looking for a really nice looking homemade snorkel and how to build demensions and install help.

dude its really up to u i made mine of pvc and i think it come out good to some i seen u can do it in pipe,pvc,plastic house gutter it what u like i hope this helps

i used pvc as well i just threw it on yesterday i spent about 70-75 bucks all together for the parts. my only problem im running into is the computer is in the way. not connected yet but you get the idea if you look in my pictures

I can't remember where but I saw one that looks like it was located out the top of the passenger side cowling between the hood and windshield. Looked like a clean install.

Moved to Cherokee Chat while your looking for ideas. Once you actually fab it then do so in fabrication section.

If you search snorkel, you'll see a few examples already posted.

The one thing i am not sure about is lack of a low lying area prior to the airbox. This is necessary in my opinion to collect any water that comes in while running in heavy rain... however you could turn the intake 180* to face the back.

On my last truck, I hand fabbed a snorkel out of fiberglass, (including the scoop). Looked factory made, and worked a treat.



I plan on building the same thing for my XJ, when I get 'a round tuit'.
