i like the land cruiser idea, but make the actual part 2x6 or 2x4 and then add the "rock"bar to it

If you do boat sides with tube like mine your doors wont ever be touched.

Not really, boatsides replace the rocker by adding a big *** plate that goes down to the frame rail.

Ok bad explanation on my part. Mine come up from "frame" and then tie into my rocker.
