skyjacker shocks

What would happen if I put sky jacker shocks for a 3in lift on a jeep with a 4.5?

Prob tear the insides out of them. I wouldn't try it.

nothing if your just driving it on the road. they will be too short if you plan to wheel.

I ordered the wrong ones. So I couldn't use them?

Your rebound will be at the top or very near it. May be a rough ride. I would box them up, return and have them send you the right ones.
