my body has 203k on it and NO rust. dont worry about the body. replacing the rusted floor pans is half the fun of owning a jeep, as long as it doesnt look like my cj7 driver side floor pan your ok lol my mom steped thru it

My XJ speedo says 85 MPH just like the rest of them. Topping out third gear, my GPS said 96 MPH. They'll probably do 110 MPH but you definitely don't want to be going that fast. When I had mine moving fast, it was "floating" and wasn't a very comforting feeling.

Then I have to say keep the Honda. Jeeps were never intended to be speed demons. They are everyday utility and offroad vehicles. When you start mixing high speed with high center of gravity and you come up with a recipe for disaster. Especially in the corners or in a panic situation that requires a you to jerk the steering wheel. Be prepared to see the road , then the sky, the road, the sky, the road, you get the picture.

I've had the experience in handling my xj in the rain going 65-70 and then out of nowhere ended up facing the wrong way and being able to correct it and continue on. It was not a fun time and I felt how difficult it was to bring it back. 80-90mph wouldn't have had the same results.
