I want black rims and I was wondering if people thought mine would look good painted black (trying to save money) or if I should save up and get some Cragar soft 8s or something.

Heres a pic of my XJ (I now have 5% tint on all windows)

Personally I think no. If its going to be that flat black its so over used its not even funny, but if you refinish them with something like charcoal with a metalic flake it looks really good. I did it on my 99, if you want to see some before and after pictures check out my album.

I painted mine black and left the lip silver and then clearcoated everything and get a lot of compliments on them.

I used wheel paint have used it on other vehicles and it's holds up to chipping pretty well also used the same wheel clear on the front header panel to keep it from chipping
