Default Thrush Glasspack

I'm in Arkansas and I paid $19.99 + tax at Autozone for my Thrush glasspack.

I bought the Raptor from Oriley's it was $27 added 2foot of pipe and a turn down a little in front of the rear drive shaft. Its sounds pretty good way better than the rustmuffler that was under it before.
To me it sounds better than my truck which is a 05 GMC canyon with a super 40 flowmaster and cold air intake. Granted my jeep had no CAT when I got it so that may help the sound with the cheaper muffler that I bought.

I'm pretty new to mufflers and I just have a 4 banger 2.5L, which muffler would you recommend? Watching GearZ makes me want to get a Cherrybomb, but what do you guys think?

I just put on a Dynomax Ultra Flow muffler with stock cat. it looks just like a flowmaster from the outside, but its strait through. No restriction. And it sounds better than the flowmaster i had on my last xj! Im sure i can get a better sound with a high flow cat but it will do for now.

Don't get a Flowmaster or glasspack with a 4 cylinder, both are Way too loud and have little to no definition to the sound, makes it sound like a ricer. Magnaflow is better then Flowmaster in every way.... I have owned both, and a glasspack on my Cheokees.

I'd probably keep the stock muffler and get a nice set of headers and a hi-flow cat. It'll be quieter than a Cherrybomb, but sound much nicer. Especially since you have a 4 banger.

Yes but that is much more expensive right? And I really don't think anyone makes headers for the 2.5l! Perhaps I should just try a generic muffler?

I'm really stumped here!

Just do turbo thrush welded muffler from advanced auto parts... It cost $130 for my Magnaflow installed and definently worth it.
