Alright thanks, when I bought my XJ I found out it had a gutted cat and Flowmasters sound horrible without the cats honeycomb core... It had a check engine light when I got it but ever since I reconnected the battery no cel ?

I'm really interested in the flowmaster knock off, thrush glass pack. I'm considering it. good reviews. I think like $90

I see no point in getting anything other than a glasspack for the 4.0. anything else should require major overhaul for any added 'performance'

Paid about 30 bucks for my thrush muffler from 4 wheel parts, if you don't want something too noisy I'd say it's a good buy

Why not run the system you had on your old one? That sounded sick.

I spent 2 hours with a exhaust cutter from oreillys and couldn't get it out.... Ended up with just the muffler tip. :| I ended up getting a Magnaflow. It doesnt sound as amazing as a Flowmaster but it doesn't drone either.... I also flows better. The Magnaflow looks so nice now. now my CEL is going off more because of the gutted cat though so that is annoying. I still have the cat from my old Jeep though....

No! Straight pipe and FM 40 series sounded like. Ricer 4 cylinder at 3k rpm, just another reason you should keep the cat, especially with a FM!

im used to a fm 80 series on my old ranger 3.0 it sounded like a 4.6 mustang

Guess who just beat their friends 2010 Camaro SS to 40 mph ? I did in 4 low... It was stupid to do that but fun as hell, gotta pay to play. Yes I realize the possible implications of doing that blah blah blah before anyone goes on a rant haha

I've raced a z28 from light to light and won a few times. Then again maybe he wasn't expecting much out of a jeep either lol
