I own a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. A few years back the relay that allows my horn to honk when I lock the Jeep using the key fob went bad and it no longer makes the horn sound. Recently my Jeep has been broken into twice and I was wondering if a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport has an alarm system on it? Maybe it is time to get that relay replaced? In short, my questions are: Is there an alarm? How do I set the alarm? Would that alarm be affected by a bad relay? (Unfortunately, I do not have an owner's manual)

 

I think the bad relay effect the alarm system and why not you purchase a security system for your vehicle that help you to monitor and track your security by using gsm technology because it have no alarm system and also you get alert when some try to disable the alarm.

 

I don't want to pay for an alarm if the jeep already has one so I'm trying to find out if 2000 Cherokee's have one. Wishing I had an owner's manual... I'll probably have to buy a new alarm sooner or later. I tested both the horn relay and the fuse. Both are good.
