Default Seafoam help

So i see a lot of guys on here using seafoam on their jeeps to clean them up. I've read around on the website but I cant figure out how to use the regular seafoam while the engine is running. It talks about pouring it slowly into a vacuum hose but I have no idea what its talking about. I have a 95 4.0 aw4 4x4. Thanks!

I pour it in the gas occasionally.

Pour a tad down your throttle body while
It's running.

Pouring it down the throttle body is the same as the vacuum hose, but if you want to do the vacuum hose way its the hose that connects from the brake booster to the TB. You should be able to just twist and pull it off at the booster end.

Could someone post a few pictures of it being done? I know what the TB is but I dont know which hose is the one on the brake booster. I also dont know if my jeep even has one because it doesnt have abs. Also, just what is "a little bit" to pour down the TB while its running? Thanks for helping out a complete noob!

The method I have used multiple times with good results:
1. Start vehicle and get it to operating temperature
2. Disconnect the big vacuum line from the brake booster, this will cause the rpm's to rise.
3. Very slowly pour seafoam into this vacuum line, if the engine bogs significantly, slow down.
4. Pour half of a can in and then turn the vehicle off.
5. Allow the vehicle to sit for 10-15 minutes.
6. Start vehicle and drive to burn out all the carbon(preferably on a back road)
7. Ask yourself why you put it off for so long.

I'm at work and don't have access to YouTube at the moment but search there for Seafoam videos. You'll find quite a few of it being done.

You still have a brake booster even without ABS. It's in the back right of the engine compartment. Big black thing with the brake fluid reservoir attached to it.

Your brake booster is the big round metal canister that your master cylinder mounts to. Your master cylinder is where you pour in brake fluid. If you are standing in front of the jeep the vacuum line will be to the left of the master cylinder.

This is the hose. Disconnect it from the black cylinder and like it down slowly. Then when you are done plug the hose with your thumb to shut it off, reconnect hose, wait 5 minutes, then start her up. Take it on a ride and give it lots of gas.

Just pour it down the Throttle Body..its easy..
Give the throttle cable a bit of a tug to get the RPMs up and the doors open a bit on the tb..then dump a bit down.

I do it every other oil change.

1/3 can in a full tank of gas.

1/3 in the oil and drive 20-30 miles or so with it in the oil before changing the oil/filter.

The last 1/3 I do in the TB. I'll dump about an oz in the TB, start my Jeep up, rev the motor til it stops pouring white smoke out the back and repeat until 1/3 can is gone.

If you've never done it you definitely want to do small amounts a few times. Don't just dump a ton in because you run the risk of knocking too much crap loose at one and making things worse.

One thing to remember is it's a cleaner, you're not gaining anything new from it, you're simply restoring things to how they should be. A lot of people will **** and moan about how it doesn't work and they don't see any changes forgetting what it does.

So you've probably already found a good video, but this one shows pretty well what to do, this guy has the 4.0, not one of the ZJ v8s. besides, he makes a nice smoke show, so you can watch it for that.
