So I lifted my xj to 6.5 and long arms! But now its so dquirly on the road! The steering has a mind of its own!!D:
I never get death wobble or any wobble but the steering is loose and it feels like tje whole steering has a mind of its own!! idk what it is! If I get in a rut it will pull!! It pulls right and left tho so idk! And my turning radius right is awful but left is better?? Although its still not hreat either way... Also when driving and turning it does not put iyself back straight?! I know power steering pump is fine because its easy to actually turn the wheel... And its very sensitive steering at high speeds.. Idk guys Does anyone have aany ideas as to why is squirly and loose?! And why I camt turn well?! I have adjustable track bar and front sway bar! Help!!!

Um idk it might be your steering angles maybe I hear ppl on here talking about that all the time, do you have the long arms adjusted correctly idk man I never had the prob I mean I had the part where it wouldn't straighten up after I lifted it but after I got it aligned and new steering stabilizer it went away other than that all I can think of is your steering angles but idk

I would start with the track bar, make sure its all tight and correctly adjusted to the proper length. Then I would check for steering slop and you may want to adjust you steering box. It has a little adjuster on it that you tighten down then back it off lime 1/8-1/4 turn and that should tighten it up a little. I would also look into a stronger tie rod because that can stiffen it up. It being all over the road makes me want to point at the track bar as a large part of it though

Also just thought of this! Did you get a new track bar with a lower bracket? If you did than you have to get a drop pitman arm otherwise you have to deal with bad bump steer. That could be a big part of it!

Yes you need to get a drop pitman arm with that so that all the steering lines up better without contrasting angles. Let's see a picture tomorrow before you order anything but at this point I would almost guarantee that that is the issue

Or cut off the bracket, bolt your track bar back to the stock location on the axle, and adjust it accordingly. I don't know why people keep putting those relocation brackets on these honestly...
