Default Sagging leafs?

I know that negative arched leafs are bad but i can't really tell it seems like its in the middle, mine is an 88' and I want to get a lift, my dad thinks that I should just get an aal for the cost. I don't put anything in the back so it's never under any stress and at worst I can try to take some new leafs out from another cherokee at a jy

Those are sagging. Time for new ones. They aren't horrible but they aren't in good shape either

Yeah bro she's sittin low I'm sure it rests on the bump stops with any weight in the back. You could just add a leaf to brig it back up a little but if you have the $$ just get new ones

The bump stops are torn off on both sides lol and my dad just got his 89' yj lifted so i'm going to ask if I can take a leaf from his old rears if i lift mine with an aal so it won't sag back as fast or much since half of the leafs will be new

For the cost, and work. I would put on new ones. Unless you can find a up country model springs at JY. Then i would grab the leafs and coils.

Well for me it would be the cost (free) and I would need to drop the springs anyway to add the other leaf from the lift, I'm only going to add any leafs if I lift it

Well i just asked my dad and he said I could use them, the leafs he still has are new front leafs, we got his yj after the po replaced the front end due to an accident so the leafs have less than 5k on them! should be nice with the aal the kit gives

Are you pulling the yj leaf apart and using one leaf as an aal? I've never heard of using yj leafs....also if you are planning on keeping your pack and just adding a yj leaf its not gonna last too long. Your leafs are too far gone for an aal

Sorry for the delay was on vacation. If i get a lift I will get an aal and then add either 1-2 of the yj leafs to mine, possibly replace a leaf with a brand new yj leaf as well as add the aal the lift kit comes with. Thinking that it will ride high in the back at first but will settle down to where I want it

I didn't read all the comments, but DON'T use an add a leaf with sagging leafs. It will start sagging within a year. Look in to bastard packs or just start saving up for a kit with lead packs.

X2 on avoiding aal. I bought one on my first lift but my packs were in great shape
