I'm trying to take care of all the rust/rot on this thing before I prep it for paint. I started to fix small areas that were rotted through and am onto the final layer and final sand in a few spots... however I'd like to hear some advice on what to do to a few spots. Any suggestions are more than welcome!
What the heck do I do here? The dent I can take care of but the rust I'm scared of. I imagine I cut it out and reweld the body and wrap the bumper around the edges or I could probably just throw the trim back on and fender flares and it's hidden but not fixed

I'm going to cut out and weld in new sheet metal in these spots:

The start of some sheet metal with bondo in front of it (needs a hair more work and a final sanding):

I plan on grinding out all the rot and covering the underside in POR-15:

I want to just grind this down, if it's still solid I'll leave it alone and just put the trim back on it:

In order to fix what you have going on there, you're going to need patch panels to weld in. You will end up spending more than the jeep is worth. I would start with another XJ, it would be cheaper in the long run.
x2 the only way to fix it or get rid of it is to cut it out and replace it with new sheet metal, and with as much as you have I imagine your floor under the carpet looks just as bad, it will cost a boat load of cash to fix all that, If you want a rust free vehicle find a rust free vehicle, its just not worth trying to fix that much rot
