Ok I have some rust on the roof of my xj.. I wasn't kinda wounder what some of u would do to cover it up?

depends on how bad it is, if its surface rust, i would use gemplers rust converter if its got a whole in it, i would cut it out and make a new panel to put in

well then i would try gemplers. it works very well, turn the rust black (primer) then after 2 coats u can paint over it

rustmort is another product that converts rust into something else not exactly sure lol
but rustmort comes in a variety of colors and is fairly widely used.
i myself have no experience but i have the same problem and need to deal with it before winter..

just pretty fine grit to scuff up alittle, nothin serious and cleaned the area with laquor thinner
