Default cherokee hitch
wondering if a hitch from a 97 grand cherokee would fit a 98 cherokee sport??

Nope. Different mount and it would hang down about 5" lower than one for an XJ.

I pulled one off a 96 grand ZJ and installed it on my 99 xj. With no problems at all and it don't hang down very far passed the bumper. I also grabbed a metal gas tank skid off same vehicle and installed it on my xj.

not to hi jack here... would a 93 zj hitch fit on a 95 xj?

96 must be different than 93, my old ZJ was a 93 and we tried to put the hitch on a 96 XJ and it was way off.
