A friend of mine is running 40s on a trussed 30 w/4:88s. Yeah, it's dumb, but he's also seeing how long it will hold. Going on a year now.

why ? ...a shave/plated 14 has better clearance than a regular d60 my 14 shaved to a 13 has only about 1/2 less clearance than a tera 60 .

not to hijack your thread in any way shape or form but i am looking to run 35s. i have an 8.25 29 spline and a hpdana30. will it hold up to 35s if im careful? and ofcourse i will always bring extra axle shafts when wheeling. ive heard stories but they might be the luck of the draw.

Yes they hold 35's . Some tires are easier on axles...example 35 MT/R is easier on axle than 35 bogger . And always carry spare parts even if running 1-tons .

I run 36'' IROK's on my 6'' bastard lift. CUT CUT and more CUT. Bumpstop and cut some more. I put 760x u joints in and keep at least 2 full extra sets of spare axles with me. still have 3.55 gears but going 4.88 as soon as tax check gets here.
