Default rti ramp

So im thinking of building my own rti ramp. Shouldnt be too hard. Anybody that lives near me could use it if they wanted to stop by. Since its just an easy little frame to weld up, would you guys still like to see a writeup in fab? Or would some pics here after its done be better?

one thing ive seen is removable hubs with a wheel and tire setup. basically making it into a trailer. makes transporting it easy. good for bringing to events and such. might be something youd like to incorporate into the build.

I was thinking the same thing, either that or make it break down into pieces. Im thinking of something along this line, I found this online.

Im leaning toward the trailer idea. How would I go about titling/plating it? Just get it inspected and weighed and say its a homemade trailer?

if you are looking to haul just the ramp, make it a two pice unit that will sit on a hitch mounted cargo rack, or even just fab to make it attach there. No wheels. I saw a few guys at the Jeep show last year set it up that way with their ramps. just a thought

I have a hitch basket. But there like 14' long, I couldn't see a way to make it fit on there. I was going to make it tear all into pieces. But that would be alot of parts to make. And if I made it pin together, I feel it may be rickety. I would rather just weld it all up

weld it all up. remember triangles for strength.

have a 2 inch receiver integrated in the front that has a removable tongue for towing, then removable wheels/hubs and register it as a home-made trailer. you shouldn't need any lights, it should be short and narrow enough to not require them. check with your state dot tho.
