I own a 98 jeep Cherokee. I am looking at building a roof rack for it but want to steer away from using gutter mounts on it. I've seen some low profile ones in which people removed the stock plastic and used metal that came down off of the rack and drilled into where the stock one used to be. If anyone could give me some feed back on this with some help id greatly appreciate it.
