the Carr Light bar looks decent. And I think its worth price. plus you can fold it down for low clearance.

Ive heard that too but have yet to have any issues.. i have locking bolts holding them there.. also I got the mount with the rubber strip which i think might hold them still.. although your correct the bar is bent but does not really effect the lights.. I will let everyone know the update on them later.. ive been driving all winter with them on there and no problems so far.. its been 6 months since i put them up and no issues..

I was looking in to the same light bar set up. Yes, they are extrememly expensive and very hard to come by. I found someone on ebay selling just the outter plastic shell for 50 bucks. No lights ext. Trying to find one that's busted or build the insides myself. I tried it on just to see how it looks. The only thing I don't like is that the you can't adjust the lights side to side since they all fit inside the housings.

I picked up a Liberty light bar and got it mounted only to find that all the pictures that have been posted with these things on MJ's and what not are only for looks. The Liberty has that nicely slanted front portion of the roof and when you mount the light bar on the flat roof of the XJ or MJ you can't adjust the lights down low enough to have them be useful, unless you like bird watching at night. I'll be posting on the whole process in another thread once I figure out what plan B is. If someone that has done this figured out how to aim the lights down lower please PM me.

Don't remember where I saw the post, maybe on here, but with the KJ light bar, the person used some foam/rubber mat to adjust how the lights face. They made a template of the bottom of the KJ light bar and put a little extra towards the back so it faced downward instead of higher up like you're dealing with now.

Essentially stacked two pieces of the rubber matting at the rear of the bar to point it down.

The c channel you used is actually called Unistrut, commonly used but pipe fitters and electrians to install pipe or conduit, very handy material!
