I've run into my first real snag with my XJ build so I'm here looking for some help regardining my alternator. I have 2, the one on the Jeep which is busted, and my spare, I need to remove the front casing from the busted alternator, and put it on my spare because 1 of the bolt holes doesn't line up, but I cant get the darn thing off.
I've removed the pulley, the bolts, and the fins, released the 3 black metal clips, and pulled the front casing free so it moves up and down and side to side but still wont pull off. I cant see anything still holding it down and I'm stumped as to how to remove it. Anything help? Am I missing something?
The part highlighted in red is what I'm trying to remove.
*I had this posted in "OEM Cherokee Tech" but it was deleted for some reason so I assumed maybe wrong section?*
