My speedometer appears to read correctly, but is 25 miles off. When I start the vehicle it reads 25 mph vs 0 and at 60 mph it reads 85 mph. When not in idle it goes back to zero. Mileage appears to read correctly, but may need to validate There has been no change to the tire size.
I'm not sure whether to change the speedometer gear, or try and turn back the speedometer itself, or what. I don't want to try and change the gear without. Need some help!!!!

Kind of sounds like someone tampered with the speedometer head, no reason the change gears because the head is electronic. If you just bought this Jeep I think you have some questions for the previous owner, I know I would.

Thanks for the reply. Actually this is a vehicle we've had for a while. We were having some other failures electronically. We replaced the PCM module and replaced some of the wiring on the door which fixed the issue However when we were having issues with the car and it was jumped, we started seeing this concern.
