are you going to Germany for military Service? Yeah I would pick a place with no smog as well and no front plate lol just make sure you have a paper title and can bolt the plate on it before it leaves...

I am only going by previous experince... its such a pain in the *** almost better not dealing with it...
-Also if you are going to be there for 2 years put new tires on before you leave and put your old tires in the trunk if they are decent.. tires are more money there just a FYI for the op

-When we exported jeep grand Cherokee's and Xj's to Russia they always had us put new tires on them and put the old tires in the back... before shipping
-Same with the ones that went to Germany....
or anywhere they got shipped over seas....
- other things to look at if your jeep has amber lights put the amber lights back in... put the clear ones under the seat or something...
make sure all your lights work and load it with a full tank of gas with staybilt, if aloud,
-Do all matience items before you leave do a tune up fuel filter... all of these items for your jeep are more expensive there including tune up parts and are not as widely available..
-spray wd the under carage is also a great idea... or rust proof it...
If you have any questions just ask...
Also if your jeep does not have a full size spare get one....
you just have to realize it is an american car across the water...
Hope I helped a little bit
