And the motor has been hydrolocked twice!
You can find pretty much ANY PART
for them in your local junk yard.. if u have one.

I think you have enough reasons, I'd like to add however, my old 2WD XJ had BLACK coolant and gunky oil when I got it, still ran just fine after I changed the fluids, didn't ever even seafoam it or anything.

mine is a 4cylinder with a manual, and 2WD and 2door. I have been playing serious catch up one some maintenance elements... but despite some less than ideal situations (though I have always maintained oil/fluid changes), and some stuff being ignored due to lack of employment... it has never left me stranded, it has never gotten stuck, and I have yet to feel unsafe in it.
