The reason I got an XJ

Hoping to get to do the same in my new-to-me XJ this winter. I'm not likely to get the same amount of snow as you up in Michigan though.

Crazy you have that much snow already.
I also bought my XJ as a winter car. I really like it a lot.
Not lifting mine either as it's a DD most of the time now. Rides ok for what it is in factory specs.

Yeah I'm still debating the cost/effective/cool factor on the lift.

I don't look forward to the heavy snows here in Mn. I'd be ok if it never snowed. The seasons are nice, but I much prefer the mountains of New Mexico. Much milder temps, with 4 seasons. Even some snow in the winter (usually melted by mid afternoon).

My daddy told me back in the 60's that a car runs better on the top half of the tank when it gets to half fill it up, most of all in the winter less room for moisture to build up.
As far as lifting an XJ is well stock seems........... unfinished looking and not ready for off road use.
