for mine i notched out the frame rail holes at the back so i could sleeve in a 1foot-ish peice of rectangular tubing (cant remeber the size) inside the rail and ran 5 bolts strait thro to both sides of the rail . i also put plate on the outside of the rail on bothsides for added beefyness. then biult off of the piece of pipe i sleeved in . havent had a problem yet

Here is a photo of my unibody bracket, made from Plasma Cut 3/16" and Press Brake Formed.
Much stronger than the stock mounts.

I used the the factory nutstrips and 2 pieces of 1/4in angle iron on both sides to make a channel and bolted that to the frame rail and my bumper. It's pretty damn sturdy.

These are the ones I made, 3/16 flat iron for tie-ins, 1/4 plate and 1/4 2x4 tube for the rest of it. TBH I regret not using rectangle tube straight thru, when I lift the Jeep by the bumper all the leverage is placed on the stock mounting areas, as the flat iron tie in is really only good for pulling (sheer strength.) My design could be easily rectified by adding a rib down the length of the tie in to give it rigidity.

Damn man those look good.

My bumper mounted straight to the factory mounts before I added the hitch tie ins. It was on there and it wouldn't have come off if I was jacking it from there. Based on the way the bolts are, pulling with it could have been a disaster.
I'm sure your brackets are plenty.

I basically did the same thing but instead of using flat bar inside the frame rails, I opened up the the hole where the nutstrip slides into the frame to a little bigger than 2x2. I then used a piece of 2 x 2 x 1/4 tubing in place of the flatbar nutstrip. I cut enough of the top of the tubing off to open a slot to allow room to place the nuts inside the tube and weld them in. It kind of looked like a "u", and extended through the vertical plate (which was notched) as one piece. The plate was then welded to the tubing. You can extend the tubing to the rear as far as you need for bumper fabrication. You can also use 2 x 3 tubing, and just cut it down to whatever you nee for clearance inside the frame rails. It ends up hell for stout. Just another option.

Leave the tube uncut or slotted before it exits the frame rail and through the vertical plate.
