rusty's lift is perfect. my ex had an 01 with the 4.5" rough country lift (spings and full leafs with their shocks) and it rode like 1ton truck, just really rough. I ran rusty's 4.5" lift(full packs, springs, shocks) and it rides really nice. i have since then made my own rear leaf pack to bring me up to 6.5" in the rear and i still run rusty's coils and love how the ride is. but i ran about 13,000 on rusty's with no problem, just changed their shocks(with exact same replacements). I had a shock mount break while off road and the shock bent around the axle from hitting rocks and i just sent it in and got a free replacement(minus me shipping it in the first place). I never had any sag, and neither did the RC but ROUGH is the key word. off road it would rattle you to being sore the next day, and on wash boards it would just bounce and you would lose all traction.

This was an apples to apples comparison:
Mine:
2-door 96 jeep XJ 33" tires

Hers:
4-door 2001 Jeep XJ 33" tires

all same components came with our lifts

Rc is a very realiable and sturdy lift but VERY rough ride. also one of the cheapest out there. def well worth the money but like i said VERY rough ride.

I don't know much about Rustys but my RC is kinda bumpy. But I don't care as long as it wheels.

I have a RC lift...and have NO complaints, what-so-ever. Ive driven mine over literally everything, and can tow without any problems of sag...A truck is a truck...If you want a smooth ride...go buy a Cadillac. TMO

I have heard "things" about Rusty's shocks, from people that have bought them. (Hence his breaking and wrapping itself around his axle)
On atleast 6 different people on atleast 3 different offroad forums.
Before I was going to buy a lift kit....and believe it or not...It was between the same two companies. I love rusty's skid plates however...

my shock mount on my axle broke(the whole thing!), i hit the whole thing on a rock. just to clarify. i had to reweld the whole mount, the shock was still attached to it believe it or not. i love the shocks i have on it =]

Still...I have heard way too many bad things, about rusty's shocks. ...those and their track-bars...
I also despise their stupid soft & flimsy spring rates.

Everything else though, Ide say I like or love.

But their lifts....no thanks....

I have an RC lift and love it to death. It rides nice and is very durable. My vote is for RC. I like it so much that I'm ordering another one for my ZJ I just bought.
