Default Ranch Hand needs help

1987 Cherokee. Stored for years. Horrible tank. Radiator shop boiled it twice and sealed it. New fuel, new pump, filter, regulator and hoses. The pump ran fine for two miles, then severe noise and bad performance. Drained fuel, replaced fuel and pump and the same thing happened. Once again, drained fuel, put in new fuel, replaced pump, filter and the same thing happened. I wonder if the acid or whatever was used is eating the impleller. Something is killing the pumps...Any ideas???? You can hear the pump a block away.
