Ok. So my good friend just got on xj. It had a roof rack so he decided to throw some leds up there. He ran the wire up the door trim and drilled a hole in the gutter (strange idea I know) he thought it was just one piece but the gutter is actually split in the middle so there is a hole inside the hole he drilled leading towards the roof.how would you guys seal this up? All I had for him was some red rtv so we just piled it up so no water would get into the roof. Will the rtv work? Remove it and do something else? Thanks

 

Epoxy the crap out of it outdoor is your best bet

 

The smallest rubber grommet you can use and rtv up the hole.

 

This and O'Reilly Auto Parts has the largest selection in most all stores to choose from.

 

I've used this type of marine deck seal for electronics for years, they work very well if you get it to match the wire guage .. They come various sizes and shapes so a little research is in order.
