The radio will not turn on or you have no reception on the radio?

Do u have power to both power wires?
Radios have 2. 1 is constant (normally yellow) and one switch (normally red)
If you have power to both and a good ground to the radio it can only be on the head unit. Check the fuse on the unit if its good then its dead.

Is it a removeable face? I had a Pioneer that would crap out on me because the contacts on the back of face plate were dirty and loose.

dang i have that same deck, scary! any way there is no removable face plate for that one. And your saying that there is no power getting there at all? the screen and button light dont come on? I would test your wires and make sure your getting a current. I replaced a lot of my wiring, although i have only had the deck for about three months now so im not sure how it ages.

That means u just either need to run a new constant power or trace back and find where its broken. U can splice the yellow into the red but then ur presets/clock will never be saved. Its actually good that the radio isnt dead though. Yellow should have power at all times

No it reguires both wires to have power for the radio to come on. You can tst the radio by hooki g the red and yellow from the radio to the red on jeep side to k.ow that it works. To have it working correctly you want a 12volt constant power wire to the radio. If u run a new wire you will want a fuse in the wire
