33x12.5x15 on stock suspension
28 inch tires are stock
33 - 28 = 5in
4inch off set
so trim 5 inches off the fenders for a temporary fit right?

Even if the math is correct, it's not the right approach. Extended bump stops + trim = happy medium. Also, for a 33" tire, some lift will pretty much be required. A 2" BB will be a good start. Low cog is where it's at, but it does necessitate more trimming and/or bump stops.
Edit- not only 33's, but 33x12.50's! Jeez man, what's your bs at? Stock rims?

I'm not going to be wheeling it
and no pics yet I'm planning a budget
wont be wheeling it until I have more money to throw some suspension parts at it
I want to get my drivetrain expenses out of the way first and I just need it to hold up for my 6 mile daily commute
edit: I'll be running some aftermarket wheels dont worry. 4in backspace
edit: had these pro comp ones in my shopping cart just to total things up. 10in width > 8in? might want 35's in the future
anything wrong with 4.5bs? besides legal issues of tread sticking out. either way. about 4in bs

UH, 5" would be overall difference, thats only 2.5" from the centerline of the wheel to any given point of the tire. So in theory that would mean trim 2.5". The front is the easy part BTW. its when the rear is touching both sides of the wheel opening at ride height thats the problem

I'm betting you can fit 33's if you cut and fold the rear wheel wells, but your gonna be close. Here's 2" lift with 32's.

Haha.. Budget is relative man! So yeah, just save and save for now. Get a 2" BB for like 100 dollars then when the time is right, go to town? You don't want to not finish whatever you start OR change gears mid project... So try to just do as much research as possible and be methodical and reasonable in your approach. The rear is super limited in trimming, but cut and fold to the pinch seam and then bump stop the rest of the way. The front you can go pretty wild with, but cutting a pinch seam can mean hassle...
so I'll be flat broke by the time I'm done with that and needing suspension upgrades...
just killin me right now because what I want and what I can afford are going to end up being two different things.
really just want to get it all done proper the first time
