Default questions on potential dangers

im getting ready to sale my zj and buying a 87 xj. the guy im buying from says that he has two jeeps that he is putting together and said that he would sale them too me. he says there are no problems with either they just need to be parted too make one complete smooth jeep. so im asking if there are any problems that are common or that you guys know of for the 87 model xj's.
thanx

No real problems for the 87's, and you may even get lucky and get one with a d44 under it

Darn tootin, there's danger. A lot. You may find yourself unable to ever part with it. Then you'll have to explain someday why you're driving the same old Jeep with half a million miles on it.

Yeah ....I think hes chargin' ya for the D44 that originally came in it.
E.G. screwin you out of another 2bills for something that should ALREADY be coming with it.

I got mine out of an '87 XJ, paid $50 for the entire jeep, also got TC skid + GT skid off of it.

Ive seen 4 '87 XJ's and 3 of them had D44's underneath them.

It seems to be only common on the 87's.

With 88-90 it seems it was only offered as an option if you selected the tow package, and upgraded from the D35.

I would stick with the ZJ for daily driving, use the XJ for fun.

XJ is my daily driver... well, almost. A KLX-250 is my daily driver with the Jeep coming in second and a KLR-650 coming in thirs.... but as for vehicles with 4 wheels, it's the daily driver.
