questions about trimming

Well I got all my flares off and the stupid mounting brackets with them, but now I have to start the trimming prosess and I have a few questions.
1. What do you do with the fender brace's and wiper fluid bottle.
2. Whats the best thing to fill the gap with.

I ripped the braces out, you can get a pre 97 washer fluid bottle and put it elsewhere under the hood. Some guys put a pool noodle in the back to keep the hinges clean otherwise nothing
