Questions about 35s
Im looking at getting 5 35x12.50x15 Baja Claws for 200. Two tires are 30% two are 50% and one is 75%. Is this a good deal and how good are these tires in mud and sand? Im planning on throwing them under my XJ with no addition lift. Right now Im sitting on 3in of lift but plan on eventually going to about 5.5in of lift. What do I need to do other then cut my fenders and roll the pinch seam over in the front fender

Assuming you atleast have gears...
35's stuff hard. I'm running 3.75BS and still rubbing at full lock. You'll need to cut and fold the inner fender seam or else you'll slice the tires right open. Takes 20min. Mine still rub I need longer bumps
As far as the claws go.. I watched them fail miserably in rocks and sand covered rocks. I think it's an overly directional tire. But $200 is a pretty reasonable price.

sounds like your jeep is practically stock. why don't you just wait until your jeep is ready for 35's? there will always be a used set of tires for sale on craigslist. your jeep just isn't meant to handle 35's in stock form you're going to jump from 30's to 35's and hate life

If you're planning on putting the 35s on stock wheels, they are going to rub like a ****. You will have to cut a bunch as well as bumpstop.
Driving around on stock gears and 35s is also going to suck major *** (in the bad way).

3.75 or less. But that will be the least of your worries. The front fenders have to be trimmed a ****load, the front bumper caps will have to be removed. The rears will have to also be cut and folded and the rear bumper caps (if they extend to the fender well) will have to be removed. It appears you also have a d35, if you take it out wheeling with the 35s, it will probably break. If you want to make them fit, you can make them fit, but it will take work.

Its not like I dont plan on regearing its just Id rather have the tires then do gears. Unless someone wants to regear the Jeep for really cheap I see me doing tires before gears. I get the cheapest thing first then the more pricey ones thats how my whole build has gone so far.

I would not worry about the axles holding up.
Problem is 35's will kill your power without gearing. And you will have very poor brakes.
I am running 33's and I hate the power loss and the brake loss.
I will be going to 4:88's when I can swing it.
But if you are not worried about power and brake loss right now then go for it. It won't hurt anything.
