I maybe trading my civic for a 1990 cherokee with the 4.0. I am not very well versed with jeeps but the motor has 235000 miles. Is that good or bad for the motor.

 

not bad. I bought my 98 with 222,000. Now it has 279,000. make sure you check the oil and other fluids. take it for a ride, make sure the 4x4 works and has no funny sounds. look for body rot and rust. that is also a Renix era jeep so Cruiser and the other Renix guys will be chiming in shortly.

Look for rust in the rocker panels the floor pans and rear cargo floor pan.
