Default question

The last determining factor before I do a 4.5" lift and 31's is......how much gasmileage will I lose. Im currently on 235's and I get about 18 mpg, + I need to do a tune up. Please help. Thanks guys.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/rea...ication-37002/ post number 4 will give you pic's to id your axle. As for mileage loss it will depend on your tires, gears, what all you have built into and onto the jeep. My jeep with a 3.5" lift and 31'' tires put me at about 15 mpg per average. I have gotten better and worse though. There is a search function on this site that will elp to answer most of your questions.

yeah... you can use a vin code reader or contact your local dealership and they can run the vin and give you the full build sheet of your jeep. Mine came from the factory with 3.08 gears. I changed it to 3.73 gears. If you have your axle open then count the ring gear and the pinion gear then divide your ring gear by the pinion. That will give you the ratio.
