Default Question 33's and Bushwacker cutouts?

Does anyone run this combo? Currently I have trimmed fenders with no flares and 33x12.5's.

My question is with 33's and the bushwackers do the fender flares do a good job at eliminating the mud being flinged up?

The reason I ask is that I went wheeling with tub doors yesterday and got a pretty good dose of mud on myself and the seat. Trying to eliminate the clean up in the future.

i think as long as the tire doesnt stick out of the fender you should be fine

Ya, the more of the tire you cover by flares or the body the less mud that flies back to hit you and hits those things instead

The amount of mud flung at you has little to do with tire size. Its the backspace of the wheels, flare, and type of tire (some pick up and fling more mud than others). If the flares, be they bushwackers or otherwise, are completely covering the tire, you will see less mud in your face. The less tread of the tire you see from the driver's seat, the cleaner.

i used to run bushwackers and 33x12.5 on 8 inch rim with 3.75 baskspacing, and no the tires didn't really stick out, but there was still some mud flung up my doors. just a little further back than with cut and raised stock flares.
